From the origin of the Universe to the high technology, from vacuum to life
A trip in the matter, examined through the most modern scientific theories and new technologies. From elementary particles to man, from materials all around us to the supertechnological ones, from the dark matter that forms the galaxies to the amazing properties of the vacuum.
With examples and metaphors, quoting experiments and practical applications, the author illustrates, in a simple way, the structure and the properties of the matter all around us examined through the most modern scientific theories. The book analyzes the microscopic complex world, governed by the laws of quantistic mechanical, the Universe and its birth, the ipercompressed matter present in some stars, the vacuum, the most common materials all around us and supertechnological ones as nitinol.
